Sugar cookies with royal icing (eggless)
 I always love to make cookies. Because it is very tasty and loved by all. I already posted shortbread cookies and choco chip cookies.  I have lot of cookies and cake recipes in my draft. It is the time to post cookies and cake recipes because Christmas is fast approaching .

 Now let us see how to make sugar Cookies.

Preparation time - 30 minutes
Baking time - 15 – 20 Minutes
Yield - 25 biscuits
Ingredients:
For cookies
All purpose flour - ½ cup
Wheat flour - ½ cup
Butter - 1/3 cup
Icing sugar - 1/3 cup
Baking powder - ½ tsp
Milk                - 2 tblsp (optional)
Salt               - ¼ tsp
Vanilla essenc  - ¼ tsp
For royal icing
Corn starch - 1 ½ tsp
Icing sugar - ¼ cup
Lemon juice - 1 tsp
Food colour - Pink, Green, Orange
Milk        - 2 tsp
Method:
Sieve all purpose flour, wheat flour, salt and sugar 3 times. Whisk the butter with sugar till frothy.

Add sieved flour into this and make smooth dough. Refrigerate for about half an hour. Roll the dough into ¼ inch thickness.

Cut it in to required shape with the help of cookie cutter. Grease the baking tray with butter and arrange the cookies at equal intervals. It will not puff up much.Preheat the oven 180 degree for 10 minutes. Bake 15 – 20 minutes or until the edges turn brown.

Icing
Add icing sugar, corn starch, lemon juice and milk in a bowl and mix it well.

Then divide into three parts and add the colors. Mix well. Fill it in the piping cone. Cut the tip of the cone and decorate over the cookies. Sprinkle sugar balls over the icing and allow it to dry.

 Store it in the air tight containers.

Note:
These cookies will be good for 4 days.
While Preparing for icing you can add milk little by little or else it will be watery.
