Poondu Idli Podi / Poondu Podi

Ingredients
Urad dhal- ½ cup
Tuvar dal- ½ cup
Red chilli- 15
Gingely oil- 2 teaspoon
Asafoetida- 2 cubes or 2 teaspoon
Garlic-20
Salt- To taste
Curry leaves- ¼ cup
Method
Crush garlic with skin using stone. Heat little oil in a pan and fry asafetida. Fry urad dhal in oil till golden brown.
Fry tuvar dal till golden brown. Fry red chillies in remaining oil. Fry garlic in little oil till crisp.
Fry curry leaves till crisp. Switch off the stove and add salt and stir few seconds. Allow it to cool.
First grind asafoetida, curry leaves, garlic, red chillies and salt.
Then add urad dhal and tuvar dal grind coarsely or finely as you required.
Note:
Add red chillies according to your taste.
If you want you can add curry leaf.
