Mango Shrikhand
Mango Shrikhand is a traditional maharashtrian dessert. It is famous in Mumbai. It is an easy recipe we can make it in 10 minutes. But the only thing is, making hung curd is time taking. They use chiroli nuts for this recipe. I did not have chiroli nuts. So I used almonds and pistachio.
Now it is the mango season. So you can try this recipe.
Let us see how to make Mango Shrikhand
Prep Time _ 1 hour 10 minutes (1 hour for hung the curd)
Cook time - Nil
Serves - 3
Mango Shrikhand Ingredient:
Mango - 1
Sugar - 4 tblsp
Curd (yogurt) - 1 ½ cup
Cardamom powder - 2 pinch
Saffron - few
Almond - 4
Pistachio - 4
Mango Shrikhand Method:
Hung the curd in clean cloth till the water content drained.
Peel and chop the mango. Grind the mango and sugar in the mixier.
Add hung curd, mango pulp and cardamom powder in a bowl and mix it well or blend it in the blender(if you want more sweet you can add sugar in this stage). Finally add saffron.
Chop almond and pistachio finely. Garnish with chopped nuts and saffron. Refrigerate and serve chill.
Note:
You can use mango puree also.
Add sugar according to the sweetness of mango.
