Peas Masala
Now it is Green peas season. So we can use more green peas and get the benefits of green peas. Peas is liked by all. Peas masala is an easy recipe which goes well with both rice or chapati. Now let us see peas masala recipe.
Peas Masala Ingredients:
Peas - 1/4 kg
Onion - 1
Tomato - 1
Masala powder - 2 teaspoon
Salt - to taste
Oil - 2 teaspoon
For seasoning:
Mustard - 1/4 tsp
Jeera - 1/4 tsp
Urad dal - 1/4 tsp
Curry leaves - few
Peas Masala Method:
Peel the green peas. Cook the peas with salt. Cut the onion and tomato finely. Heat oil in a kadai add all the seasonings and curry leaves.
Add finely chopped onion and tomato and sauté for few minutes. Add masala powder, salt ( remember you add salt while cooking the peas) and cooked green peas with water and cook.
Close the pan with a lid and cook till the water evaporates.
Serve hot with rice or chapati. I served with rice and rasam.
Note:
Use red chilli powder instead of masala powder.
If you want peas masala more spicy you can add ginger garlic paste and a pinch of garam masala.
You can add little coconut paste and make it as a gravy also.
You can add thick coconut milk instead of coconut paste.
