Thenkuzhal (Chettinad)
Thenkuzhal is also like Murukku except for the die by which it is made. Both Thenkuzhal and Murukku taste the same.

ThenKuzhal is easy to make and can be stored for about a month or two.

Thenkuzhal Ingredients
Raw Rice - 4Cup
Urad dal - 1cup
Salt - to taste
oil - Deep frying
Thenkuzhal Method
Dry roast urad dal slightly. Clean and rinse the raw rice in water and dry in the shade. After drying mix raw rice and urad dal and grind it in a mill.
Add salt and water to this flour and knead to smooth dough(One cup water is enough for 1 cup flour). Put this dough into a Thenkuzhal maker. Heat oil in a flat frying pan and press the dough into Thenkuzhal.
Cook both the sides well till it is silent.
Note:
If you want you can add cumin seeds in the flour while kneading.
You can add sesame seeds also.
Store it in the air tight container for a month.
