Karuveppilai Podi / Curry Leaf  powder for Rice
Karuveppilai Podi or Curry Leaf Powder is very good for health and is very easy to make. It goes well with hot rice and ghee. Curry leaf is very useful for health especially the diabetics and woman. It improves blood picture and it is rich in iron.Try this easy recipe and use curry leaf daily in your diet. We can make karuveppilai sadham with this powder. It goes well with idli and dosai too.

Now let us see how to make Karuveppilai Podi
Preparation time - 10 minutes
Cooking time - 10 minutes
Yield - 50 grams
Ingredients:
Curry leaf (tightly packed) - ½ cup
Urad dal         - ¼ cup
Cumin - 1 tablsp
Pepper - 1 tablsp
Salt        - to taste
Method:
Wash curry leaf and dry in the kitchen towel. Dry roast urad dal till light golden colour. Dry roast curry leaf in a low flame till crisp.

Karuveppilai Podi

Dry roast cumin and pepper separately till nice aroma comes. Finally add required salt in the hot pan till the moisture evaporates.Set aside to cool and grind.

Karuveppilai Podi

Add 1 tsp gingely oil in the cooked rice. Add curry leaf powder to the rice and mix well. Serve with vadam or pappad.

Note: 
If you want you can add red chillies instead of pepper. But I like pepper taste.
You can add ghee instead of oil.
