Pesarattu Dosa – Andhra Pesarattu
Though Pesarattu is said to be an Andhra Recipe, once you make it, you will love and your kids will praise you.Especially for the dosai lovers like my son Arvind. Pesarattu will come as a handy recipe for both morning and night. It is very easy and the recipe is very simple, just you can make in a jiffy and store the batter in the refrigerator and use it for two to three days.
Once you make it more crispy it will taste wonderful. It is nutritious too. Try this Andhra recipe and see how it turns out to be your loved one’s favorite recipe.
Pesarattu Dosa Ingredients:
Green gram - 1 cup
Green chilli - 3
Ginger - ½ inch
Salt - to taste
Cumin seed - ½ tsp
Onion - 1 big
Coriander - ¼ cup
Pesarattu Dosa Method:
Soak green gram for minimum 4 hours. Grind green gram, green chilli, ginger and salt in a mixie coarsely.
Chop onion and coriander finely. Add cumin seed, chopped onion and coriander in the ground pesarattu dosa batter and mix well.
Heat dosa tawa and spread the batter like thin dosa and add oil around.
When cooked turn and cook other side till crispy. Serve hot with podi and coconut chutney.
Note:
Let the batter consistency be like adai batter.
You can add onion over the dosa and press it with ladle or you can try the above method.
In some places in Andhra they put rava upma over the pesarattu.
