Making the pizza base at home is in my to do list. I always used to buy pizza base at surya. It will be good and tasty. I asked myself, why don’t we try this?. I googled for the home made pizza recipe. Finally I made this recipe with full satisfication. It is very easy and simple recipe. Only thing is to bake correctly or else it will be burnt.

Preparation time - 30 minutes
Resting time - 2 hours
Serves -2
Yield - 3 pizza base
Ingredients:
Maida - 1 ½ cup
Active dry yeast - 1 tblsp
Sugar - 1 tblsp
Salt - ½ tsp
Olive oil - 2 tblsp
Water - ¼
Milk - ¼
Method:
Add sugar and yeast in ¼ cup of warm water and set aside for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes yeast dissolved in the warm water.
Add yeast solution, milk, oil and salt in a broad bowl and stir well.
Add flour in the bowl and knead in to a smooth dough. Keep covered and set aside in a warm place for about 2 hours. After 2 hours the dough will be doubled . see the below picture.
After 2 hours punch it down to remove air bubbles. Then make three equal size balls. Make the dough in to thick chapati using rolling pin.
Use a fork to make pricks in it. This helps to avoid bulging up while baking. Grease the baking tray and place the pizzas. Preheat the oven to 150 degrees for about 10 minutes. Bake pizzas for 7 to 9 minutes.
Note:
You can cover the dough while resting.
Punching the dough is important while making pizza base.
Prick the base, with a fork before baking , as it is important.
Keep it in a air tight container or zip lock cover and refrigerate.
Use within 2 to 3 days.
