Aval Laddu / Aval Ladoo / Poha Ladoo Recipe
Aval is an important Neivedyam for gokulashtami. Lord Krishna likes aval very much. I already posted aval payasam recipe. Now I made aval laddu for Aval vikadan magazine's Gokulashtami recipes. It is very simple and tasty ladoo with easily available ingredients. I made it with sugar. You can make it with jaggery also.

Preparation time - 10 minutes
Cooking time - 15 minutes
Yield - 13 laddu
Ingredients:
Thick aval(poha) - 1 cup
Sugar - ½ cup
Ghee - ¼ cup
Cashew - 3
Raisin - 8
Cardamom - 2
Method:
Dry roast aval in a pan till nice aroma comes. Keep aside to cool down. Grind it in a mixer nicely.
Add sugar and cardamom in a mixer and grind nicely.
Fry cashew and raisin in little ghee. Melt ghee. Add aval powder, sugar powder, fried cashew raisin and melted ghee in a bowl.
Mix well and make balls when it is warm.
Note:
You can use any nuts of your choice.
You can use red aval also.
You can use jaggery or country sugar also.
