Kuzhi paniyaram  is a good tiffin. It is kids friendly too. In ancient times the people use stone kuzhi paniyaram pan for making kuzhi paniyaram. It is very hard to make. Now a days non tick pans are available. So every one can make easily.

Let us see how to make kuzhi paniyaram.
Kuzhi Paniyaram Ingredients:
For Batter:
Raw rice - 1 cup
Boiled rice - 1 cup
Urad dal - ½ cup
Fenugreek - 1 ½ tsp
Salt - to taste
For tempering:
Oil - 2 tablsp
Mustard - 1 tsp
Urad dal - 1 tsp
Onion - 1
Green chilli - 2
Curry leaves - few
Coriander - few
Coconut - ½ cup
Kuzhi Paniyaram Method:
Wash raw rice, boiled rice,urad dal and fenugreek and soak all together for about 4 hours.

Then grind this in a grinder with salt to a smooth batter. Ferment this batter for 6 to 8 hours.

 Chop onion, green chilli, coriander and curry leaves finely. Heat oil in a pan and add mustard and urad dal. When they crackle add chopped veggies one by one and sauté well.

Add sauted veggies and grated coconut and salt ( for veggies only) to the batter and mix well. Remember we can add salt to the batter.

Heat kuzhi paniyaram pan with little oil and pour this batter in the kuzhies(grooves).

 Close the pan with a lid and cook.  Cook both the sides well and serve hot with chutney.

Note:
Pour the batter half in the kuzhies or else it will come out  while making.
You can add grated carrot also.
If you don’t have the kuzhi paniyaram batter, you can make it in the idly batter also.
You can use idly rice and maavu pacharisi.
