Chettinad Chicken Kulambu is a easy and tasty chettinad chicken recipe, which is ideal for tiffin or lunch or dinner. It goes well with idli, dosa or rice. Chettinad Chicken Kulambu is also known as Chettinad Chicken Curry or Chettinad Chicken Gravy.

Now let us see the  Chicken Kulambu Recipe:

Chettinad Chicken Kulambu Ingredients:
Chicken - 300 gram
Small onion - 10
Garlic cloves - 6
Kulambu powder - 3 tsp
Coriander powder - 2 tsp
Oil        - 2 tbl sp
Salt        - To taste
Turmeric powder - ¼ tsp
To Grind:
Coconut       - 3 tbl sp
Cumin seed - 1 tsp
Fennel seed - 1 tsp
Pepper - ¾ tsp
Small onion - 10
Garlic cloves - 6
Ginger - 1 inch
Cinnamon       - 1 inch
Tomato - 1
To marinate:
Chilli powder - 1 tsp
Turmeric powder - ¼ tsp
Ginger garlic paste - ½ tsp
Salt       - ½ tsp
Lime      - 1 tsp

Chettinad Chicken Kulambu Method:
Clean and wash the chicken. Marinate the chicken for half an hour. Peel small onion and garlic. Cut small onion into two.

 Heat oil in a pressure cooker and add clove, cinnamon and curry leaf.

Then add small onion and garlic and sauté. Add marinated chicken and sauté for a few minutes. Grind the ingredient (given under to grind) in a mixie.

Add ground paste, kulambu powder, coriander powder and salt and stir well. Add required amount of water and close the cooker and cook for one whistle. Open the cooker when the steam subsides and boil for few minutes. Serve hot with rice.
