The Thai Pongal is celebrated during the middle of January to mark the period of Harvest by farmers of Tamil Culture. It is celebrated by all Tamils to Thank the Sun God for his blessings and Bumper Harvest during the year.The regular Thai Pongal Menu is something like this. This is prepared and offered to the Sun in the Thai Pongal day.

Traditional Pongal
